There’s no doubt that the third press conference on the four-city tour to promote the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor superfight was a downer. McGregor brought little to the table at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, and while Mayweather stood out on the mic, it was simply not as entertaining as the first two stops.
… until Mayweather reached into his backpack for the third straight night. This time, he pulled out three stacks of cash and made it rain all over McGregor, who sat in his seat still without making a sound. McGregor eventually chastised Mayweather for choosing stacks of $1 bills rather than $100s. “Pick them $1 bills up, bitch,” he said. By then, it was far too late.
“He’s a con artist. He’s a quitter. Real fighters don’t quit,” Mayweather snapped. “… You phony. … You ho. You stripper. You’re a bitch, and you know it. … I run the show. This is my ho, and I threw $1 bills on this bitch.”
Mayweather vs. McGregor will air live on Showtime pay-per-view from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, Aug 26. Tickets go on sale July 24 and range from $500 to $10,000, while the PPV will cost $89.95 ($99.95 in high definition). The final stop of the press conference tour is set for Friday at 2 p.m. from London.
