It looks like celebrity boxing matches might be a big part of hip-hop in 2017. Recently, Riff Raff followed in Chris Brown and Soulja Boy’s footsteps by challenging another rapper to step into the ring. Who did the Neon Icon challenge? None other than 50 Cent. See the hilarious, semi-Rocky style challenge video for yourself up top.
“This ain’t no street fight either, I want $2 million,” Riff Raff says in the clip, before going on to box against his trainer. A bit later he weighs himself on a scale, announcing that he weighs 215 pounds. He then says 50 probably ways 100 pounds less. Sounds like a legit challenge.
As you may already know, 50 Cent is currently busy promoting the match between C. Breezy and Soulja Boy. The two hip-hop luminaries got the idea to box it out after they began feuding at the top of the month. Soon, that idea turned into a potentially very lucrative pay-per-view match-up set to take place on Jan. 28.
50 may be busy, but there’s always a chance that he decides to take up Riff Raff’s offer. After all, he used to box when he was younger, and apparently he was good enough to compete in the Junior Olympics. Riff Raff may want to sit this one out
